The Packages Available
The optional packages group driver-assistance and monitoring systems together so they can be specified as a set rather than item by item, which simplifies both quotation and later servicing.
What Each System Does
TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) tracks inflation pressure and temperature per wheel position, giving early warning of leaks and overheating — the two most common causes of trailer tire failures.
EBS (Electronic Braking System) replaces or augments conventional braking control, improving stability under load and shortening stopping distance.
LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System) alerts the driver when the vehicle drifts outside its lane without indicating, which matters most on long trunk routes.
Fleet monitoring covers GPS position reporting, cargo status and door open/close alarms, so a fleet manager can see where a trailer is and whether its load is secure.
Predictive maintenance alerts use accumulated sensor data to flag components approaching the end of their service life, moving maintenance from reactive to scheduled.
Factory Order or Retrofit?
Specify at order where the systems integrate with the vehicle's electrical architecture. Factory fitting is cleaner, keeps the warranty in one place, and avoids the wiring compromises retrofits often involve.
Retrofit makes sense where a fleet is already in service and has many years of life remaining. In that case prioritise the systems with the clearest cost justification — typically TPMS and GPS position reporting first.
