Special Vehicles — Complete Buyer's Guide 2026

Our special vehicles range covers truck mounted cranes, crawler excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, road rollers and motor graders — the machines that support the trucks and trailers we supply. Buying the haulage equipment and the loading equipment from one supplier means one contract, one shipping schedule and one spare parts channel.

ZS Truck (Shandong Zhongsheng Vehicle) manufactures and exports truck mounted crane / excavator / wheel loader / bulldozer to buyers in Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Latin America. Every unit is built to order, inspected before shipment, and delivered with a full set of export documents.

1. What Is a Special Vehicles?

Our special vehicles range covers truck mounted cranes, crawler excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, road rollers and motor graders — the machines that support the trucks and trailers we supply. Buying the haulage equipment and the loading equipment from one supplier means one contract, one shipping schedule and one spare parts channel.

Typical applications

  • Lifting and construction projects
  • Earthworks and excavation
  • Material handling and loading
  • Road construction and compaction
  • Site preparation and levelling

2. Key Specifications

Below are the standard specification ranges we build. Any parameter can be adjusted to your market requirements — tell us the payload, road conditions and local regulations and we will recommend a configuration.

3. How to Choose the Right Special Vehicles

Five decisions determine 90%% of the specification. Work through them in order:

  1. Define the job first. Excavation, lifting, loading and compaction need completely different machines — start from the task, not the model.
  2. Size the machine to the site. A 20 t excavator is right for most general construction; 5–8 t machines suit confined urban sites.
  3. Check the shipping method. Machines under about 20 t fit in a 40 ft container; larger units ship RO-RO or flat rack.
  4. Decide new or used. Used Japanese and Chinese machines offer strong value where a dealer network already exists locally.
  5. Plan the attachments. Buckets, breakers, grapples and quick couplers should be specified with the machine, not added later.

4. Price Factors: What Actually Drives the Cost

There is no single price for a special truck — the final figure depends on the configuration you choose. The main factors are:

  • Machine size — Capacity is the single biggest price driver across every category.
  • Brand and origin — Japanese and Korean used machines carry a 20–40% premium over equivalent Chinese units.
  • New or used — Used machines run 35–60% of new price depending on hours and condition.
  • Attachments — Breakers, grapples and extra buckets add 5–20%.
  • Shipping method — RO-RO and flat rack cost more than container shipping for the same machine.

5. Why Our Price May Differ From Other Suppliers

Buyers often see a wide spread of quotations for what looks like the same special truck. The difference is almost always in the specification, not the margin:

  • Steel grade and thickness. A trailer built from thinner or lower-grade steel can be 10–20% cheaper and will not last as long under abrasive loads.
  • Axle and suspension brand. Genuine branded axles cost more than unbranded copies and are far easier to get parts for.
  • Hydraulic and electrical components. Imported cylinders, pumps and wiring harnesses add cost but reduce downtime.
  • Paint and surface treatment. Proper shot-blasting and multi-coat painting is a real cost that some suppliers skip.
  • Inspection and documentation. Pre-shipment inspection and complete export documents are included in our price.

We will always tell you exactly what is in a quotation, and we will quote a cheaper configuration if that is genuinely the right answer for your operation.

6. Shipping, Delivery and Export Documents

We ship from Qingdao and Tianjin ports. Standard lead times:

  • New build: 25–45 days depending on specification and options.
  • Used units: 10–20 days to load after order confirmation.
  • Ocean freight: West Africa 30–45 days, East Africa 25–35 days, Middle East 18–28 days, Southeast Asia 12–22 days, South America 35–50 days.

Every shipment includes a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and any inspection certificate required by the destination country. We can also arrange marine insurance and, on request, door delivery.

7. Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What special vehicles do you supply?

Truck mounted cranes, crawler excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, road rollers and motor graders, new and used.

Q2. Can I buy a truck and a crane together?

Yes, and it is usually cheaper to ship them together. We quote complete combinations on request.

Q3. What size excavator do I need?

For general construction a 20–25 t machine is standard. For confined urban sites 3.5–8 t is more practical, and for mining 30 t+ is typical.

Q4. Do you supply used machines?

Yes. We supply used Japanese, Korean and Chinese machines with an inspection report and, where needed, reconditioning.

Q5. How are large machines shipped?

Machines over about 20 t ship RO-RO or on flat racks. Smaller units fit in a 40 ft container, which is usually the cheapest option.

Q6. Are attachments available?

Yes — buckets, hydraulic breakers, grapples, quick couplers and rippers can all be supplied.

Q7. How long is delivery?

In-stock machines load in 7–15 days; built-to-order units take 25–45 days.

Q8. Do you provide training and manuals?

Yes, operation and maintenance manuals are supplied in English, and we can arrange operator training on request.
